COVID-19 Policy + Protocol FAQ’s: Fall 2021

As we begin our Fall session, we ask that every active family review our Studio Policies and Protocols and familiarize themselves with answers to frequently asked questions about COVID-19 and Canvas Classes.

1. There was a positive case of COVID-19 in my child’s class at school. The entire class was asked to quarantine, can my child still attend their Canvas Class?

If your child was asked to quarantine, please do not send your child to their Canvas class.

* Please contact us to let us know that your child will not be attending class due to quarantine and we will offer a credit for the missed class(es) or we can schedule a make-up class at the end of the child’s quarantine.

2. A member of our household tested positive for COVID-19, but shows no symptoms. Should I keep my child home? For how long?

To err on the side of caution, we ask that you keep your child home for the duration of the CDC recommended quarantine.

* Please contact us to let us know that your child will not be attending class due to quarantine and we will offer a credit for the missed class(es) or we can schedule a make-up class at the end of the child’s quarantine.

3. What will happen if a Canvas teacher, assistant or student tests positive for COVID-19 while in session?

In the event that we have a positive case at the studio: every active family will be notified immediately and the studio will close for 10 days, wherein the studio will be professionally cleaned and disinfected.

We will notify every active family of a return date to the studio to continue the session. *We will add additional classes at the end of our session to make-up for the missed classes – or- if that is not possible, we will offer a credit for any missed classes.

4. My child tested positive for Covid-19. Should I contact the studio?

If your child is enrolled in a Canvas class and tests positive for COVID-19, please contact our studio ASAP.

As a business, it is our duty to inform our staff and students of any exposure. We will not share your personal information, but will notify our staff and active families of a positive case at the studio and will close the studio for the recommended time.

5. After my child attended a Canvas class, we found out that they were exposed to a person who tested positive for Covid.

We appreciate communication about any exposures so we can make the appropriate calls for our classes. As a business, it is our duty to inform our staff and students of any exposure or potential exposure. We will not share personal information, but will notify our staff and active families of any new exposure information along with the CDC’s recommendations.

According to the CDC: If healthy individuals were around a person whom was in close contact/exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19: Healthy individuals should closely monitor themselves for any symptoms of COVID-19. You do not need to self-quarantine unless you develop symptoms or if the person identified as a close contact develops COVID-19.

In this event, we will keep our classes open, but ask that the student exposed remain home for the CDC recommended quarentine time -or- until given a negative test result after 4 days of exposure. Our studio will be in contact with the exposed family on any test results or symptoms that may appear and we will notify the class(es) if any changes need to be made to the class schedule. *Please see question #3, above, that explains if Canvas has a positive Covid case.

We strive to be as transparent as we can to ensure the safety and health of our students and community.

6. My child is a little under the weather, but tested negative for Covid a few days ago. Can I still send them to their Canvas Class?

If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home. We do our best to schedule make up classes for any student who misses classes and will continue to do so when the student is healthy.
