Canvas Camps provide a fun and enriching opportunity for young artists to build foundational art and design skills while exploring a variety of media.

Our camps are rooted in the fine arts with larger scale + more ambitious projects! All of our camps offer a wide range of project themes that spark creativity + exposure to a fun mix of age-appropriate art techniques each day.









How to Enroll

Returning families may go directly to your Canvas Family Portal to enroll in a  Summer Camp.

New families:  Scroll down to select the week of camp and click “Enroll”. Next, you will be prompted to create a Customer Account. Here you will be able to enroll your child(ren) into your camps of choice + make the tuition payment.

If the Enroll link is unavailable, the camp is full. In your Portal account, you may click on “Waitlist” to be added to the camp’s wait list.

Tuition + Protocols

The full balance is due no later than the first day of camp. We will send you an email reminder the week before camp begins!

If you need to switch into a different camp, please contact us at [email protected] at least seven days prior to the start of camp. 

Camp Guidelines: 

  • Smaller Camp sizes (12 max)
  • Masks indoors
  • Increased disinfection of materials
  • Outdoor snack (BYO Nut free!)

Changes Cancellations

Change requests must be submitted at least (7) days prior to the start of camp. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, space permitting.

Cancellation requests: If you need to cancel, your payment will be refunded if we are notified (7) days prior to the start of camp — email cancellation/change requests to: [email protected]

There are no refunds for last minute cancellations; however, we will consider any special circumstances and offer a studio credit at our discretion.

Week 1:

June 21 – June 24

Petite Picasso’s (4+)

with Tara Barnett

9:30am – 11:30am

Designed for smaller hands and big imaginations, our youngest artists will be introduced to work in a variety of media & methods: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, clay + more.

Cut & Paste Collage (6+)

with Beth Sillen

1pm – 4pm

Collect materials of different textures, colors + patterns, then create abstract compositions + narratives. Use collage to see the possibilities of using simple materials for complex artistic expression.

Week 2:

June 28 – July 1

Sweets n’ Treats (6+)

with Colleen Purdy

9am – 12pm

Draw, paint + sculpt all of your favorite desserts in a variety of media. Fun 2D + 3D projects will stimulate both your palate + palette. Yum!

Amazing Animals (6+)

Explore the animal kingdom & create artworks inspired by your favorite furry creatures. Use your favorite animal, reptile or furry friend as inspiration for a variety of creative projects. Build foundational art + design skills while exploring all types of media. Painting, printing, clay, collage + more!

Adventures in Comics (9+)

1pm – 4pm

Draw, create, animate! Channel your inner superhero with character development, visual storytelling, comic strip paneling, pencils, inking, painting and more!

Fantastical Creatures (6+)

with Michelle Sciria

9am – 12pm

Ready to explore the magical + fantastical world? Discover painting, printmaking, collage + sculpture techniques that will be infused into each project inspired by your favorite creatures.

Surf + Turf: Land/Seascape Painting (9+)

with Tracey Witter

1pm – 4pm

Brush up on your landscape painting skills! Learn about composition, perspective and detail work while also working on brush technique with watercolor and acrylic. Create beautiful landscapes of your favorite places or discover new spots to create!

 Explore island + surf culture in our Aloha Art Camp! Dive into fun 2D + 3D projects inspired by all things sun, sand + surf!

Pinata Fiesta! (6+)

with Maricarmen Buckley

1pm – 4pm

Back by popular demand! Create your own piñata in the traditional Mexican paper mâché method.

July 26 – July 29

Fashion Fun (6+)

with Maricarmen Buckley

9am – 12pm

Design + create fashion illustrations with a twist! Our fashion camp incorporates drawing + collaging a fashion illustration while learning how to sew your creations  perfect for the runway. Sewing beginners welcome!

Explore foundational drawing techniques + elements like value, space, harmony and balance in your work. Discover the creative process from sketch to masterpiece. Experiment with pencil, colored pencil, and oil pastels in summer-themed landscapes, portraits + more.

Surf’s Up! (6+)

9am – 12pm

Hang ten in this summer camp. Explore island + surf culture as we dive into fun 2D + 3D projects inspired by all things sun, sand and surf.

Can I Bug You? (9+)

with Keryn Thompson

1pm – 4pm

Create 2-D + 3-D projects inspired by all types of insects while learning about their different roles in nature.  See how many insects inspire scientists and engineers.

Week 8:

August 9 – 12

Paint Mix (9+)

with Megan Peter

9am – 12pm

Discover painting techniques in watercolor + acrylic while creating observational + abstract large + small scale works of your very own.

Canvas Mix! (6+)

with Jenna Unger

1pm – 4pm

Time to mix it up! We will be drawing, painting, printing + sculpting in our Canvas Mix Camp. Explore new techniques with various medias while creating summer inspired artworks with a pinch of imagination + summer fun!

Week 9:

August 16 – 19

Aloha Summer (6+)

9am – 12pm

Say goodbye to summer with us as we explore island + surf culture one last time. Dive into fun 2D + 3D projects inspired by all things sun, sand + surf!


Comics + Characters (9+)

with Keryn Thompson

1pm – 4pm

Create your own cartoon character + watch them come to life using the principles of animation. Students will learn squash + stretch, develop their character using a model sheet, then bring them to life through an animated flipbook.
