Canvas Camps provide a fun and enriching opportunity for young artists to build foundational art and design skills while exploring a variety of media.
Our camps are rooted in the fine arts with larger scale + more ambitious projects! All of our camps offer a wide range of project themes that spark creativity + exposure to a fun mix of age-appropriate art techniques each day.
How to Enroll
Returning families may go directly to your Canvas Family Portal to enroll in a Summer Camp.
New families: Scroll down to select the week of camp and click “Enroll”. Next, you will be prompted to create a Customer Account. Here you will be able to enroll your child(ren) into your camps of choice + make the tuition payment.
If the Enroll link is unavailable, the camp is full. In your Portal account, you may click on “Waitlist” to be added to the camp’s wait list.
Tuition + Protocols
The full balance is due no later than the first day of camp. We will send you an email reminder the week before camp begins!
If you need to switch into a different camp, please contact us at [email protected] at least seven days prior to the start of camp.
Camp Guidelines:
Changes Cancellations
Change requests must be submitted at least (7) days prior to the start of camp. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, space permitting.
Cancellation requests: If you need to cancel, your payment will be refunded if we are notified (7) days prior to the start of camp — email cancellation/change requests to: [email protected]
There are no refunds for last minute cancellations; however, we will consider any special circumstances and offer a studio credit at our discretion.

Week 1:
June 20 – June 23
Petite Picasso’s (4+)
with Tara Barnett
9:30am – 11:30am
Designed for smaller hands and big imaginations, our youngest artists will be introduced to work in a variety of media and methods: drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, clay & more.
Cityscape Collage (6+)
with Beth Sillen
1pm – 4pm
Use collage to see the possibilities of using simple materials for complex artistic expression. Collect papers and objects of different textures, colors and patterns, then create the hustle and bustle of the vibrant city!
Week 2:
June 27 – June 30
Beyond the Stars (6+)
with Jenna Unger
9am – 12pm
3-2-1… BLAST OFF!! Explore outer space through drawing, painting, sculpture and collage as we hop among the planets and drift through the galaxy with our imaginations!
Comics & Characters (9+)
with Keryn Thompson
1pm – 4pm
Draw, create, animate! Channel your inner superhero with character development, visual storytelling, comic strip paneling, pencils, inking, painting and more!

Sweets and Treats (9+)

Draw, paint and sculpt all of your favorite desserts in a variety of media. Fun painting and drawing 2D + 3D projects will stimulate both your palate & your palette. Yum!
Lions, Tigers & Mares -Oh,My! (6+)
with Michelle Sciria
1pm – 4pm
Explore the animal kingdom and create artworks inspired by both wild and tame creatures! Let your imagination run wild as you create animal-inspired artwork. Build design skills while exploring paint, pastel, clay and more!

Sweets & Treats (6+)

9am – 12pm
Draw, paint & sculpt your favorite desserts in a variety of media. Painting and drawing 2D + 3D projects a summer fun favorite camp filled with mouthwatering creations. Yum! .
Surf + Turf: Land/Seascape Painting (9+)
with Tracey Witter
1pm – 4pm
Brush up on your landscape painting skills! Learn about composition, perspective and detail work while working on brush technique with watercolor & acrylic. Create beautiful landscapes of your favorite places or discover new places to create!
Week 5:
July 18 – July 21
Gifts from the Sea (6+)
with Michelle Sciria
9am – 12pm
Dive beneath the waves and find inspiration under the sea. Shells, crustaceans, animal & plant life will generate an ocean of ideas for creating treasures from the shore. Develop drawing, painting and sculpture skills as you design your gifts from the sea.
Pinata Fiesta! (9+)

1pm – 4pm
Back by popular demand! Create your own piñata in the traditional Mexican paper mâché method. So cool you won’t want to break it open!
Week 6:
July 25 – July 28
Fantastic Foods (6+)
with Megan Peter
9am – 12pm
Cook up something delicious in the Canvas kitchen! Sculpt, paint and draw some delectable treats – art that will look good enough to eat. Stimulate your palate and your palette in this mouthwatering camp!
Pop Art (9+)
with Colleen Purdy
1pm – 4pm
Innovate with bright colors and fun compositions! Be inspired by the masters of Pop Art – Warhol, Thiebaud, Lichtenstein and more as we paint, print-make and draw our way through the colorful Pop Art Movement.

Fashion Fun (6+)
with Keryn Thompson
9am – 12pm
Create bold fashion statements with art you can wear. Be inspired by jewelry, masks and clothing. Design wearable art and unique accessories. Beginners welcome, no experience with sewing necessary.
Fairytales & Wonder (12+)
with Kristin Middleton
1pm – 4pm
Explore the fantastical world of fairytales and the wonder of visual storytelling. Classical myths and creative creatures can transfigure ordinary art supplies into magical masterpieces. Infuse your design skills with a week of artistic wizardry as you journal, draw, and develop painting techniques in watercolor + acrylic.

Piñata Fiesta (6+)

Back by popular demand! Create your own piñata in the traditional Mexican paper mâché method.. So cool you won’t want to break it open!
Cinema Media Studios (9+)

Draw, paint & collage inspirations from iconic characters of the silver screen including Star Wars, Disney, Marvel films & more!

Say goodbye to summer with us as we explore island + surf culture one last time. Dive into fun 2D + 3D painting and drawing projects inspired by all things sun, sand + surf!
Drawing from the Masters (12+)

1pm – 4pm
Have fun learning to draw like a master and improve your drawing techniques. Refine your skills by focusing on light, contour, texture, and perspective. Apply these techniques in a variety of mediums, drawing inspiration from historical and contemporary artist from around the world and throughout the centuries.
